It would be easy to assume that everything about the game has been found at this point, yet it never seems to end. While the detail that Rockstar put into the game was immediately obvious back in 2018, it's only years later that the community has really discovered the true extent of it. But, those within the same family of consoles-Xbox to Xbox, or PS4 to PS5-will be able to team up. PlayStation and Xbox players cannot play with each other in Dead Island 2.
It’s also important to note that Dead Island 2 is not cross-play, only cross-gen.
